What is Financing?
Financing is simply a transaction between you and your dealer, whereby you agree to pay the amount financed, plus an agreed-upon finance charge, over a period of time.

Oakville, Ontario, July 13, 2006 - There's more good news in advance of the highly anticipated launch  of the 2007 Ford Edge. Effective today, the Canadian-made, all new crossover utility vehicle and all new Ford-branded 2007 model-year light trucks and SUVs, receive a five-year or 100,000 km powertrain warranty -similar to the current powertrain warranty coverage on Ford cars/minivans/crossovers; that's an additional two years or 40,000 km of coverage for the engine and transmission beyond the basic new vehicle warranty.
For the Lincoln MKX - also being produced at Ford's Oakville Assembly Complex - and all new 2007 Lincoln models, the powertrain coverage is even more substantial, extending to six years or 110,000 km or two years and 30,000 km beyond the basic new vehicle warranty.
"Ownership costs including warranty coverage are among the top vehicle purchase considerations for Canadian customers," said Bill Osborne, President and CEO, Ford of Canada. "As of today, when you select a new Ford or Lincoln vehicle, you'll be receiving powertrain coverage that ranks among the best, and receiving the confidence that Canada's longest established automotive company has in the quality of its brands."
Ford of Canada will also offer complimentary roadside assistance for the entire powertrain warranty period including towing, fuel-fill, lock-out services, travel planning and emergency trip re-imbursement.
The new Ford of Canada powertrain warranty programs are effective beginning with 2007 Ford light trucks and SUVs, including Canada's best selling F-Series pickups (F-150 through F-550), Explorer, Explorer Sport Trac, Escape, Expedition, Expedition Max and Ranger; as well as 2007 Lincolns, including MKZ, Mark LT, Town Car and Navigator; plus the all new 2007 Ford Edge and 2007 Lincoln MKX coming this fall.
Customers who purchase a 2006 model Ford light truck, SUV or 2006 Lincoln beginning July 13 will be covered by a powertrain Ford Extended Service Plan that offers comparable coverage.
Ford 2007 Powertrain Warranty & 2006 ESP Offers - *All new 2007 Ford vehicles, excluding 2007 Model LCF, F-650 and F-750, will come with a 5 year/100,000 km (whichever occurs first) Powertrain Warranty and full Roadside Assistance benefits together with a 5 year/100,000 km (whichever occurs first) Safety Restraint Warranty.
