What is Financing?
Financing is simply a transaction between you and your dealer, whereby you agree to pay the amount financed, plus an agreed-upon finance charge, over a period of time. Financing is popular because it allows you to purchase a vehicle without paying the total cost all at once. Instead, you pay a fraction (usually 10% minimum) of the cost up front, which is referred to as a down payment, and borrow the rest. You then repay the borrowed amount with interest in monthly payments spread out over months or years.
